Welfare Rights Outreach Sessions

How to access advice and information on benefits and other welfare rights issues in your local area.

Our Welfare Rights Advice Line 01738 476900 (option 1) is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday where experienced welfare rights workers can give you telephone advice and information on a wide range of benefits and money related matters including:

  • Benefits and Tax Credits.
  • Rent and/or Council Tax arrears and other debts.
  • Being turned down for benefit or being sanctioned.

You can also email welfarerights@pkc.gov.uk with your query or you can talk face to face with a welfare rights worker in a number of different locations within the Perth and Kinross area.

You can also access information on benefits and other available help on our Benefits and Advice webpages.

Council Offices and Buildings

Every month, there are welfare rights staff available to see in different council premises throughout Perth and Kinross.

These face to face sessions are available to anyone living within each particular area who is looking for welfare rights advice and information.

They are very popular with people who have difficulty using our telephone advice line or email service including people with hearing problems and those who have communication difficulties.

You do not need an appointment - just come along between the times shown.
