Peep - learning together programme

Supporting parents and children to learn together

We are currently running virtual Peep groups through Microsoft Teams.

What is Peep?

  • Peep is an early learning project which celebrates parents and carers as children's first educators
  • Peep programmes offer an opportunity to have fun with your child and learn together
  • Peep programmes offer parents and carers the opportunity to share experiences and ideas at talk time in a safe and supported environment
  • Peep encourages children and adults to be confident learners

Our Peep Programmes offer 1 hour weekly sessions for parents/carers with preschool children and include :

  • Singing & rhyme time
  • Storytime
  • Talk time for parents
  • Ideas for fun play activities which enhance children's learning
  • Sessions are currently being held virtually through Microsoft Teams.

What is Peep Progression Pathway?

  • Peep Progression Pathway is a recognised qualification designed especially for parents with units SCQF credit-rated by SQA - using your existing skills and knowledge gained as a parent, together with the new things you will learn at Peep Progression Pathway group.

What happens at a Peep Progression Pathway Programme?

Peep Progression Pathway Programmes offer weekly sessions lasting around 2 hours and include :

  • Singing and rhyme time
  • Storytime
  • Book sharing
  • Talk time
  • Ideas for fun play activities which enhance children's learning
  • Personal Learning Portfolio
  • a recognised qualification designed especially for parents with units SCQF credit-rated by SQA
