Parenting and family learning

The Parenting and Family Learning Team offers a variety of friendly groups and services for parents and carers, helping to build positive relationships.

We are currently not working from our offices.  To contact our team please call 01738 477697 (no one is available to answer but you can leave a message and someone will return your call), email Parenting@pkc.gov.uk or complete an icon Application Form [102Kb] and email it to us.

Do you feel like you need support with your child's behaviour?

Strengthening families programme

A 7 week programme that helps families with young people aged 10 and 11 years to prepare for their teenage years.

Peep - learning together programme

Supporting parents and children to learn together

SPACE Groups

SPACE (Supporting Parents and Children Early) is a group for families with a young child who would benefit from some additional support

Infant massage

Infant massage is the positive nurturing touch that builds on the bonding and relationship between parent/carer and child.

Cook It

We offer two Cook It groups - Early Years Cook It to help teach parents with children aged 0-3 years and Community Cook It which gives families the opportunity to make healthy meals.

Small Talk and Treasure Pouches

Small Talk is an 8 week programme for parents and babies 0-6 months.

Tayside Strategy for Parents

The Tayside Strategy for Parents is a commitment from the partner organisations in Tayside that deliver services for children, young people and families to work with parents to improve the information, services, communities and policies that support families.

Home Safety Equipment (HSE)

The HSE scheme is operated by the parenting team to support families with young children where there is an identified safety issue.

Parenting bite size sessions

We are currently offering virtual and face to face bite size sessions on different parenting subjects.
