Due to a number of road closures in place within Perth City Centre between Friday 21st November and Sunday 23rd November 2025 it will be necessary to alter the route and pick up points of a number of Scottish Citylink and Megabus services..
Perth will be holding its annual Christmas Light Switch on event between Friday, 21st and Sunday 23rd November 2025.
As a result there will be impact on a number of Scottish Citylink and Megabus journeys operating in the Perth City Centre area. A summary of the changes is shown below:
Friday, 21st November 2025 (From 12.00 Noon) - Tay Street Closure
To allow for the set up of the main stage there will be a requirement for Tay Street to be closed from Perth Bridge to Queens Bridge.
Passengers are advised that all Scottish Citylink and Megabus journeys will depart from Perth Bus Station and will use Glasgow Road, Broxden, and M90 to reach the A90 towards Dundee. As a result of this diversion journeys will not serve the bus stop located on Dundee Road at Manse Road.
Saturday, 22nd November 2025 (All Day) - Mill Street and Tay Street Closure
During the main Christmas event the whole of Mill Street and Tay Street will be closed all day.
Passengers are advised that all Scottish Citylink and Megabus journeys will depart from Perth Bus Station and will use Glasgow Road, Broxden, and M90 to reach the A90 towards Dundee. As a result of this diversion journeys will not serve the bus stop located on Dundee Road at Manse Road.
PLEASE NOTE - Journeys from Dundee towards Perth City Centre will operate as normal.
All services will return to normal on Sunday, 23rd November 2025.
