Bins and recycling - Service disruption

Due to vehicle breakdowns or adverse weather, some collections and access to Recycling Centres may be disrupted

Disruption to bin collections

Road works will be undertaken on Hill Street in Crieff from 1st to 7th April. If the road is open on your collection day, bins can be presented as normal. If the road is closed then residents are asked to use walkways to take the bins to the bottom of the street for collection. Thank you for your cooperation.

Aberfeldy Recycling Centre

Due to current electrical issues affecting site lighting, Aberfeldy Recycling Centre will for safety reasons only be open as daylight hours permit. Repairs are ongoing however we anticipate that the centre will be required to close around 4pm on opening days for the time being. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide a further update once the electrical issues are resolved.

Auchterarder Recycling Centre

Work to improve the surface and parking bay markings in the car park at Auchterarder Public Park is scheduled to begin on Friday 13 March 2026, with no weekend working, and resume on Monday 16 March. It is due to be completed on Wednesday 18 March.

Car parking will not be available during the works, and we would advise anyone coming to Auchterarder Public Park by car to park elsewhere. Spaces are usually available on St Margaret's Drive immediately opposite the Park entrance.

While the nearby Recycling Centre will remain open as usual on Thursday 12, Saturday 14, Sunday 15, Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 March, the area around the pavilion (including recycling bins) will be busier than usual, so we would encourage anyone coming to drop off waste and recycling to plan their visit accordingly.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while these works are carried out by our contractor.

Pitlochry Public Toilets

Please be aware that the public toilets in Pitlochry will be closed for essential maintenance from 9am on Tuesday 31st March 2026. The work is expected to take at least half a day to complete.
