15 minutes of free parking

All 3 zones allow 15 minutes of free parking.  This only applies to Council-run car parks and on-street parking spaces.  A valid ticket must be displayed and can be acquired free of charge by pressing the button on the ticket issuing machine, with the exception of the below car parks.

For South Inch Car Park and Canal Street Multi-Storey Car Park, which are both pay-on-foot car parks, present your ticket at the exit barrier up to 15 minutes after entry.  Please do not present your ticket at the paystation if your length of stay is 15 minutes or less, as this may charge you for up to one hour of parking.

Disabled parking

Free parking spaces exclusively for the use of blue badge holders are provided on various city centre streets and in most Council operated car parks.

Blue badge holders are permitted to park in any Council controlled on or off-street parking bay free of charge.

Blue badge holders may also park at other on-street locations subject to the normal conditions of use of their badges.

View the Blue Badge Scheme (Disabled person's parking badge) page for more information.

Electric vehicles

Electric vehicles are not exempt from Pay & Display charges, even when using chargers located within a Pay & Display bay.  Charges normally apply Monday - Saturday between 8am - 6pm but you should check signs in each location.

View the Electric Vehicle page for more information on EV chargers.
