Early years gaelic

Gaelic Medium Education Nursery Provision is currently available at Breadalbane Academy.

Gaelic playgroups, or Croileagan, are a good way for like-minded parents/carers to meet and for children to be immersed in another language before entering Primary School.

There are currently two Gaelic Playgroups for the 0-5 age group running within the Perth and Kinross area. These playgroups are open two sessions a week during term time and are free of charge. Sessions include a mixture of free-play, activities, games, arts & crafts, songs and stories delivered in simple Gaelic. You don't need to have any prior knowledge of Gaelic to attend.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions these groups are not running at their full capacity at present and we are asking parents/carers to book into the sessions. Please visit Cròileagan Pheairt and Cròileagan Obar Pheallaidh via Eventbrite to book a place.

Did you know Bookbug speaks Gaelic too?

Gaelic Bookbug sessions are held at AK Bell Library on the first Saturday of the month at 11am.

You can request Gaelic Bookbug Packs from your local library.
