Christmas shoppers are set to benefit from an additional free bus Saturday on 20 December 2025, making it easier and cheaper to enjoy the festive atmosphere and support our local businesses across the Perth and Kinross area.
Throughout 2025, the council has offered residents and visitors free bus journeys on the first Saturday of every month within the Perth and Kinross area, encouraging people to choose a more environmentally friendly way to travel while saving on parking, fuel and bus fares.
To boost the festive spirit and help drive footfall to local shops and events, an extra free day of travel has been added on Saturday 20 December 2025, alongside the regular free bus Saturday 6 December 2025.
On both days, passengers can get onboard services operated by Stagecoach, Dochertys Midland Coaches, Glenfarg Community Transport, Elizabeth Yule Coaches and Sweeney's Garage. For those who hold an U22, over 60 or disabled concessionary pass should use this as normal.
In the lead up to Christmas, Stagecoach 7C, Broxden Park and Ride Service into Perth City Centre, will be running on the six Sundays leading up to Christmas Day, starting from Sunday 16 November. These Sunday journeys are designed to make festive shopping and city visits more convenient for passengers. Passengers will be benefit from low return fares from Broxden park and ride site, while those who hold a U22, over 60 or disabled concessionary pass should use this as normal."

Featuring around 30 stalls from talented artisans, local food and drink producers, the market promises a magical shopping experience on the final weekend before Christmas. It's the perfect time to find that last-minute-present while supporting local.
