We are committed to allowing our tenants to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Where appropriate, we will carry out adaptations to homes to help tenants live comfortably and happily in their property.

If you currently live in a Council property that is too large for you, we can help you move to a property that is more suitable.

Carers

If you receive or provide care or support to another person you may be able to get a discount on your council tax.

Rural rates relief

Relief from rates is available to a variety of properties within a designated rural settlement area with a population of less than 3,000.

Unoccupied and furnished dwellings

Where a dwelling is unoccupied and furnished but is not classified as a second home, it may be eligible for discount or subject to a surcharge.

Installation of wi-fi sensors to make your home healthier

Last year we had a fantastic response from tenants who wanted a free wi-fi sensor fitted in their home.

Speakeasy

Speakeasy is a parenting programme that supports parents to talk about sex, relationships, gender and safety with their children. The group supports parents with guidance on how you can make sure your children are well informed and confident when it comes to growing up, relationships and sexual health.
