Transport planning

The transport planning team is responsible for the strategic planning and development of the transport network for Perth and Kinross. This involves all modes of travel, such as the sustainable modes of walking and cycling as well as public transport and the private car and both freight and passenger transport. In short, the team ensures that Perth and Kinross keeps moving, ensuring that we can have a prosperous economy and a healthy, socially inclusive society with well educated and informed citizens.

We are aware that there is an ongoing level of interest and speculation about progress on a development at Taymouth Castle Estate. Given that some of this discussion includes references to the role we play in the planning process we thought it would be helpful to set this out.

Indoor sports entertainment licence

An indoor sports entertainment licence is needed for any sporting event in premises to which the public are invited as spectators. "Premises" includes permanent or temporary buildings, a tent or inflatable structures and a sports complex.
