Professional curiosity is one of the most important approaches that practitioners can use to help them protect unborn babies, babies, children, young people and adults. In this Child Protection Committee guide, the concept of professional curiosity is explained, barriers to being professionally curious are explored and advice is provided about how practitioners can use this approach to improve their practice with those at risk of harm.

This guide is intended to support anyone working within services to engage effectively with parents, carers, children and young people.
