If you have reduced mobility or other issues that cause you to have difficulty using normal forms of transport but wish to get out more and extend your social life then Bertie Bus may be able to help.  Bertie Bus, provides opportunities for trips and companionship in and around the Crieff area.

Blairgowrie Freedom Coach Association

The Blairgowrie Freedom Coach Association (BFCA) provides an affordable door to door wheelchair accessible transport service, with trained drivers. Many of our clients live in rural areas with no transport of their own and have difficulty using a mainstream service, or have no regular bus service available to them.

We are a voluntary run group offering health walks and associated activities based in the East Perthshire area on several days each week all year. We run our own minibus and in addition provide MiDAS training for other groups.

The current fleet consists of one Minibus capable of transporting up to 13 seated passengers and 4 wheelchairs, together with 5 converted vans able to carry up to 2 wheelchairs and 3 seated passengers. All the vehicles have a drop down ramp at the rear so that those who use a walking aid can enter safely.

The day clubs are looking for a pool of volunteer minibus drivers. Drivers must have D1 on their licence. PKAVS Carers Services will provide MIDAS TRAINING (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme). Volunteers MUST have a clean driving licence.
