The first Tayside wide strategy for Children and Young People's Emotional Wellbeing (PDF) [7MB] , 'Connected Tayside' was launched in November 2021. Materials have been produced to continue to raise awareness of what young people were telling us and of some of the resources that are available to support our work in this area. The resource links have been usefully compiled into a padlet, here -https://padlet.com/traceystewart3/contay.
As a group the Tayside Regional Improvement Collaborative Health and Wellbeing Group would encourage you to ensure that the Connected Tayside poster (PDF) [179KB] and Charter (PDF) [44KB] are displayed across your establishment and that staff are aware of the actions being addressed to make a difference to children and young people.
Work is ongoing to embed this strategy and work on particular gaps for Perth and Kinross, through our Relationships work, the Mental Health Delivery Group and the Health and Wellbeing strategy. To further support this work we are currently working on the CLPL offer, both around mental health (which will incorporate suicide prevention and trauma informed practice) and relationships. As we do this we wanted to draw your attention to training available locally by CAMHS colleagues on ' Decider Skills (PDF) [93KB] ' a programme that uses a CBT approach to support mental health for our children and young people and we will align with any ECS mental health offer. Information on the current offer is further attached.
