Demand Responsive Transport

The DRT transport schemes operate flexible routes and timetables, providing 'on demand' transport services available to any member of the public. Someone wishing to use DRT1 or DRT2 will be required to book a journey through one of the participating operators at least 24 hours prior to making their journey.

DRT1 and DRT2 operate Monday to Saturday between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm.  There is no Service on a Sunday or 24, 25, 26 and 31 December or 1, 2 January in any year.

The fare to use Demand Responsive Transport will be broadly similar to the previous local bus fare and is based on the length of the journey and should be agreed at the time of booking.  Free concessionary travel is available to holders of Scottish National Entitlement Cards.

Information booklets explaining the operation of DRT1 and DRT2 are available throughout the relevant areas.  The booklets are also available from the participating operators or can be downloaded using the links below.
