Infant feeding

In Perth and Kinross we are committed to giving every child the best start in life and that includes infant feeding, we work in partnership with NHS Tayside to ensure that all families have access to support to for infant feeding.

We are also aware that an increasing number of families are at risk of or are currently experiencing financial hardship and that this may leave some families unable to afford infant formula or appropriate foods for their baby.

If you are in receipt of a means-tested benefit like Universal Credit and are pregnant or have children under 3 you may qualify for Best Start Foods, which also includes information regarding Best Start Foods if you have no access to public funds - mygov.scot

If you are struggling with the cost of infant formula or other foods for your baby then please contact the Welfare Rights on 01738 476900 (option 1) or use our Online Referral Form.

If you are in crisis and have no money too access infant formula then please apply for a Crisis Grant online or via telephone on 01738 476900 (option 2).
