The Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017 places a duty on local authorities and regional health boards in Scotland to produce annual Local Child Poverty Action Reports (LCPARs) describing ongoing and planned action to tackle child poverty at local level.
Giving every child the best start in life is the first of five strategic priorities adopted by Perth & Kinross Council and our Community Planning Partners.
We have committed to doing all in our power to reduce the negative effects of living in poverty for children and families. We are working hard to enable children and families to prepare themselves to live a life free from poverty.
