Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

Section 18(c) of the Representation of the People Act 1983 places a duty on each local authority to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places in their area.

Notice is hereby given that Perth and Kinross Council is undertaking a review of the Ward 5 - Strathtay polling district SBB (Bertha Park area) and polling place used in connection with all elections with effect from 15 September 2021 for a period of six weeks.

Any registered elector within this area may make representation to the Council, and the representation should, if possible, include proposals for alternative polling places.

The Council would welcome representations from the Returning Officers for the relevant parliamentary constituency, and from persons who are considered to have particular expertise in relation to access to polling premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability.  Representations made by any persons or bodies should, if possible, include proposals for alternative polling places.

Details of the proposals are available on the downloadable section or for inspection between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm on any normal working day at the following Council offices:

  • AK Bell Library, York Place, Perth
  • North Inch Community Campus, Gowans Terrace, Perth
  • Pullar House, Kinnoull Street, Perth (by appointment only)

Representations should be made in writing to the Election Team, Perth and Kinross Council, 2 High Street, Perth PH1 5PH or by email to elections@pkc.gov.uk no later than 5pm Wednesday 27 October 2021.
