A late hour catering licence is needed by all places serving food, whether on a "sit-in" or "carry-out" basis, between the hours of 11 pm in the evening and 5 am the following morning.

A second-hand dealer's licence is needed by any person carrying on a business as a dealer in second hand goods or articles. A licence is only needed by the owner or manager of the business and not by salespersons or other employees.

Specific properties which are specifically designed for people who may find it difficult to live independently at home.

A Letter of Comfort is a letter issued by the Council which states that action will not be taken in respect of building works which have been carried out.

We are committed to allowing our tenants to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Where appropriate, we will carry out adaptations to homes to help tenants live comfortably and happily in their property.

In 2024 we carried out a consultation on updating our Common Allocations Policy - the policy we use when we are allocating homes to people who have applied for housing.
