Perth and Kinross Council has long valued and prioritised the importance of play for children and families and welcomed both the Play Strategy for Scotland and the supporting Action Plan, published by the Scottish Government.

In June 2025, the Council approved a project for the removal of the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) within Bells Sports Centre, and associated condition surveys. These surveys will help us understand the building's current condition and plan for its future refurbishment.
