Under the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 anyone who applies for British citizenship must attend a citizenship ceremony. New citizens must take an oath or affirmation of allegiance to His Majesty the King and make a pledge of loyalty to the United Kingdom. Citizenship ceremonies in Perth and Kinross are held in the Civic Lounge, 2 High Street, Perth.

Provisions have been made by the Scottish Government to limit the increase in Non-Domestic Rates charges, resulting from the 2023 revaluation exercise, effective from 01 April 2023
