Media resources
Understanding mental health and wellbeing is an important part of supporting good mental wellbeing for yourself and those around you. 'Mental health' covers a wide range of conditions. This list of media resources (PDF) [1MB] details some of the common issues you may encounter in your own life or that of people around you - depression, stress, anxiety, and suicide. It includes articles, animations, dramatic short films and online training.
Case studies
The Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership has produced case studies which discuss the topic of mental health in the workplace. People who have taken part in these anonymous studies have discussed a wide range of topics, including how their workplace has affected their mental health, how they supported colleagues who were struggling with their mental health, and how training can help provide understanding in the ways mental health can affect you and those around you. Those who chose to share their experiences discussed their thoughts and feelings around their mental health and wellbeing, and described what they found useful when sharing their experiences with others.
