In July 2026 we appointed a range of new contractors to carry out some of our Housing Repairs work.
The Council is required to retender for this work every four to five years to ensure we are getting good value for money. The contractor provides ongoing maintenance and improvement works for our tenanted and void housing stock. As part of the new contract, we have successfully widened our pool of qualified contractors, which now includes more local businesses, to support our in-house team.

- Blacksmith (metalwork) - Lux Fabrication Ltd
- Fencing - Lux Fabrication Ltd
