Welcome to the Perth and Kinross Child Protection Website, which is continually updated and maintained by the Perth and Kinross Child Protection Committee (CPC). Within these webpages, you will find a wide range of information and advice about child protection and keeping children and young people safe from harm, together with useful links and downloads. 

On behalf of the Perth and Kinross Child Protection Committee members, I hope that you will find this website informative, helpful and user friendly.  We are keen to continue developing the information it contains, and we would welcome any comments and suggestions you may have. What are CPCs?

Child Protection Committees (CPC's) are multi-agency bodies established at local authority level throughout ScotlandEach Local Authority in Scotland has a Child Protection Committee for their area.

In February 2019, The Scottish Government published Protecting Children and Young People: Child Protection Committee and Chief Officer Responsibilities Guidance (Scottish Government: February 2019)  which describes the functions of Child Protection Committees as continuous improvement; public information, engagement and participation; strategic planning and connections; and annual reporting on the work of the CPC.

Minutes of meetings - Child Protection Committee

Perth and Kinross Child Protection Committee (CPC) meets every two months and the minutes are published, once they have been approved by the CPC.
