There is an hour in between each service which allows 20 minutes for the service, time for mourners to arrive before and to leave the chapel after the service and time also for staff to prepare for the next service. If a longer service is required this may be arranged at an additional cost on request.
To avoid any distress or inconvenience families & mourners are advised to arrive at the Crematorium no earlier than 20 mins prior to the service time, arriving earlier will restrict parking availability due to the previous service. Families are requested to leave the Crematorium building promptly at the end of the funeral service as any delay will impact on any subsequent services.
There are no restrictions on mourner numbers, or specific social distancing guidelines, hand sanitising units will remain available at all entrances to the Crematorium for visitors to use if they wish.
Our chapel is able to seat comfortably approx 160 people with additional standing space, speakers and visual screens within the foyer to allow larger attendances to be catered for. A family room is available for the use by the immediate family of the deceased prior to the service. We also have a visual screen within our family room to accommodate those families who may not wish to sit within chapel.
There is parking for approx 70 cars of which two are disabled parking. In addition there is 'over-flow' car parking to accommodate larger services.
The Crematorium building is wheelchair friendly with same level access, a wheelchair, disabled toilet with baby changing facilities and hearing loop are also available.
Our welcoming reception area is available for those who require any assistance or information and our private memorial room offers a comfortable space where staff can advise on all aspects of memorials, cremation & burials by appointment.
Families & Funeral Directors are encouraged to remove their floral tributes after a funeral service however, an area is provided at the Crematorium for the display of floral tributes following a funeral service, where they can remain until they are disposed of by staff 7 days after the service, or as soon as possible after public Holidays.
Please note that unfortunately the Crematorium and its staff cannot accept any responsibility for floral tributes left at the Crematorium before, during or after a funeral Service.
