List of burial grounds

There are 176 burial grounds in 132 locations throughout the Perth & Kinross area. On some locations there may be an old churchyard and a new extension within sight of one another but they will have their own burial plan and records therefore they are treated as a separate and self-contained burial ground.

Burial Ground Registers

Bereavement Services hold the burial registers for Perth and Kinross at Perth Crematorium. Burial records can be searched to obtain the location and interments of a particular grave.

The majority date from 1900 but a few earlier records are also available. Most registers are now computerised although there are several of the older cemeteries which can only be researched by using the original registers. Anyone wishing to have an ancestral search carried out should telephone Burial Enquiries on 01738 459660 or e-mail

Road repairs and essential resurfacing works - Alyth Cemetery and Grampian View Cemetery, Coupar Angus - September 2021

Road repairs and essential resurfacing work will take place during September 2021 at Alyth Cemetery and Grampian View Cemetery, Coupar Angus.

Access to these cemeteries will be restricted while work is underway. Wherever possible, we would ask that any visits are rescheduled outside the following times:

  • Investigatory and preparatory work will be carried out at Alyth Cemetery from Wednesday 8 September to Friday 10 September, and at Grampian View Cemetery in Coupar Angus from Monday 13 September to Wednesday 15 September.
  • Resurfacing work will then take place at both locations from Thursday 16 September to Monday 21 September.

We regret the short notice of these works but a window has become available to carry out these essential repairs ahead of schedule.
