Warm Home Discount Scheme

The Warm Home Discount (WHD) is a government scheme where the largest energy suppliers' credit £150 onto the electricity bills of households in receipt of certain benefits.

If you get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit, the discount will automatically be applied to your electricity bill.

Otherwise you will need to apply directly to your energy provider.  You may be entitled if they are part of the scheme and you are receiving certain means-tested benefits or tax credits.

If you are awarded the discount it will be applied directly to your electricity bill between early October 2023 and 31 March 2024.
