Copies of planning and building standards documents

We hold a variety of planning and building standards documents. 

Depending on the type of document you're looking for and when it was produced, you may be able to download it directly or you can submit a request to obtain copies. 

Documents available for download

Public Access Register is the online portal that allows you to view associated plans and documents for planning applications from September 2007.  Building warrant documents are not available for viewing on Public Access.

Requesting documents

You can submit a request online for documents.  There is a £40.00 cost to provide documents for each application reference number provided.  An additional search fee may be applicable where the application reference number cannot be provided. 

The type of available documents can be requested:

• Building warrant - for stamped building warrant drawings / plans. Please note that these can only be obtained by the owner or interested party such as solicitor acting on behalf of the owner. 
• Completion certificate
• Planning decision notice 
• Approved plans associated with the notice

Request copy of planning or building standards documents 

We will review your request within 5 working days and confirm the final cost.  Payment can be made online by debit or credit card.

Upon receipt of payment, we will send the document(s) to you by email.
