European Pipe Band Championships - 9 August 2025
After making its debut in Perth in 2024, the European Pipe Band Championships return this August.
One of the biggest piping competitions in the world, over 100 pipe bands will take part in the competition. Mark your diaries now and buy your tickets now through Perthshire Box Office (opens new window).
Will there be parking available?
Parking will be on the Lesser South Inch, opposite the main South Inch on Edinburgh Road, at a charge of £5.00 per car; entrance to parking will be from Tay Street. Park and Ride will be available at McDiarmid Park from 8.30am until 7.30pm for £5.00 per car. Other car parking is also available in Perth City Centre.
What accessible facilities are there?
Blue Badge parking will be provided at the South Inch, hard standing; please display your badge on your dashboard. Access into the grounds will be through the four main entrance points. The entrance gates will be wide enough to take wheelchairs and access scooters.
Do children go free?
Children aged four years and under are free, while those aged 15 years and under will be £10.
Will there be toilets? Will there be changing facilities area for babies/toddlers?
Portaloos will be available onsite, with one booth being for baby changing at every group of toilets. Please dispose of any nappies in the appropriate manner.
Will there be a First Aid area?
St John's Ambulance will always have two stands on the Inch, during the event, one at either side.
Can I bring my dog(s) onto the South Inch?
Absolutely, no problem at all. Please make sure that you have plenty of poo bags with you and dispose of them in bins across the site, and please always keep dogs on leads.
Will there be stalls on the South Inch?
Yes, there will be various stalls ranging from confectionery to tailoring and everything in between. Cash or card will be accepted.
Will there be food available on the South Inch to purchase?
There will be several food vans available with different food types, both hot and cold. There will also be coffee vans on site. Cash or card will be accepted.
Can I leave and re-enter the European Pipe Band Championships?
Absolutely, once you enter the park you will be given a stamp on your hand/wrist, please show this to the stewards on your return into the ground.
