Getting married

Perth and Kinross boasts a wide choice of exceptional venues for celebrations of any kind, from historic venues and local castles to country houses and many quality hotels.

In Scotland it is possible to have a Civil, Religious or Belief Marriage.

If you are thinking about a civil ceremony we will do our very best to help make your day special whether the ceremony takes place in the historic wooden panelled Old Council Chambers or one of our other Registration Offices. However, if you would like something a little different then why not consider holding the ceremony at your own special venue or place, or perhaps in your own home or garden or at one of the many other spectacular locations throughout Perthshire.

Your ceremony is unique to you. Our staff will be happy to personalise your ceremony to suit your requirements. You are welcome to include readings, your own personal vows or other additions such as a handfasting ceremony. Please feel free to ask friends and family to contribute to these additions however the ceremony must be conducted by one of our authorised Marriage Officers, other Celebrants cannot play a role during your civil ceremony. View icon Ideas for Your Civil Ceremony [28Kb].  We look forward to meeting you and being a part of your special day.  Please have a look at our short film on Youtube and our gallery of photographs below.
