Perth and Kinross Council has long valued and prioritised the importance of play for children and families and welcomed both the Play Strategy for Scotland and the supporting Action Plan, published by the Scottish Government.

The most commonly accepted definition of Community Safety devised by COSLA (Convention of Scottish Local Authorities) is "Protecting people's rights to live in confidence and without fear for their own or other people's safety".

The Scottish Government has passed legislation enabling householders to apply to the Council in specified circumstances for a high hedge notice to be served.

Integration means delivering social care in a better way. GPs, hospitals, health workers, social care staff and others are increasingly work side-by-side to share information and take a much more co-ordinated approach to the way social care services are delivered.
