Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental Health consists of two dimensions - Mental Wellbeing (for example, life satisfaction, positive relationships with others and purpose in life) and Mental Health Problems (the presence or absence of mental health problems: for example, depression and anxiety).

On this part of the website you can find out lots of information in relation to Mental Health and Wellbeing including:

Suicide support and prevention

Suicide. Don't hide it. Talk about it. If you are feeling suicidal or you are worried about someone else, help is available. Speak to someone you can trust, or call a helpline.

Young people's mental health and wellbeing

It is important that children and young people feel they can speak about their emotional wellbeing and mental health openly, and know where they can get help if necessary. We have different resources for children and young people, parents and carers, and staff.

Mental health and wellbeing training

A whole range of courses exist on various topics relating to mental health and wellbeing, available to the public, staff and volunteers.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Action Plan

A new Mental Health and Wellbeing Action Plan has been developed for Perth and Kinross. This will direct services towards new ways of working to ensure people get the support they need at the right time.

Mental health and wellbeing resources
