There are a considerable number of items in reusable condition that are disposed of at local Recycling Centres. To help divert waste from landfill, and reuse as much as possible, the Council - in partnership with local Reuse Organisations - has set up Reuse Containers at selected Recycling Centres.
Donated items are re-sold and re-distributed within the local community. The Reuse Organisations collecting items via the Reuse Containers are helping to provide employment and training opportunities in the local area.
Please note that members of the public are not allowed to remove any items from the Reuse Containers.
What can I donate for reuse at my Recycling Centre
Each Reuse Container collects different items, so please check the signage at each Recycling Centre (or the information below).
