Housing Grants

Maintaining a house or flat in a good condition is ultimately the responsibility of the owner(s). It is in their interest to carry out necessary repairs and improvements to keep the home in good condition and maintain its value.

Poor housing can affect people's health, it may be a danger to the public and it has a negative effect on the local environment. Some people may need assistance with arranging for improvements so Perth and Kinross Council has incorporated an  Assistance Scheme (PDF) [431KB] .

Additionally some mandatory grants remain available for home adaptations for disabled people but all other discretionary grants have been stopped in Perth and Kinross.
