Auchterarder Common Good Fund Committee - 8 October 2014
A Meeting of the Auchterarder Common Good Fund Committee will be held in the Council Chambers, Fourth Floor, Council Building, 2 High Street, Perth on Wednesday 8 October 2014 immediately following the meetings of the Perth and Aberfeldy Common Good Fund Committees which commence at 11.00am.

5. Location of Temporary Water Main Pumping Station Cemetery Car Park Western Road Auchterarder
An urgent item of business arose during the Council's summer recess, in relation to a request from Scottish Water to install a temporary pumping station and temporary pipework which will boost the pressure in the water main to accommodate the additional demand created by the Ryder Cup in September 2014.
Scottish Water asked for access to the car park from the week beginning 7 July 2014 for approximately 8 weeks and will remove the temporary water main pumping station and connecting pipework by approximately the end of October 2014. All excavations will be reinstated to match the existing conditions.
The Council will give Scottish Water two days' notice of any interment in the cemetery and Scottish Water will instruct their contractor not to carry out works during any funerals at the cemetery.
Due to the timing of the Common Good Fund Committee dates and the urgency of installing the temporary pumping station and temporary pipework prior to commencement of the Ryder Cup, members of the Auchterarder Common Good Fund Committee were contacted and agreed to the proposal and to formally report the decision at the next meeting of the Auchterarder Common Good Fund Committee on 8 October 2014.
