We take the safety of the public very seriously, and greatly value alerts from citizens about potential problems or dangers. Members of the public that are aware of any bridge, culvert or retaining wall fault supporting the Council Roads Network are encouraged to urgently report the issue to the Council.

Prioritisation of repair and replacement works to road structures
We use the information from inspections and assessments to prioritise the most urgent work and to ensure that finances are targeted in the most cost-effective way. The types of works undertaken vary greatly from repairs to masonry bridge parapets (resulting from vehicle collisions) through to full replacement of major bridges spanning large watercourses.
Works are prioritised with a prime focus on securing the safety of the travelling public. Consideration is also given with regard to whether the structure forms part of a sole access route and/or whether failure would require significant disruption to the travelling public.
Trunk road related faults
Please note that Perth & Kinross Council hold no maintenance responsibility for trunk roads and their bridges, this rests with Transport Scotland and their operating companies.
