When 3-year-old Casey Bell spotted discarded rubbish while out on family walks, she picked it up to put it in the bin. Rather than just walk on by, or tut at the fact there was litter on the ground, Casey acted.
It became a habit. It became a family thing. And, in 2021 Perth & Kinross Council named Casey a Gold Litter Picker in recognition of her continuing contribution to her community.
Picking up litter, and disposing of it properly in the first place, is one way we can all show pride in our local area and work together to make Perth and Kinross an even better place to live.
