Street trading licence

A licence is needed by any person who carries on street trading, to any person in a public place in or from a vehicle, kiosk or moveable stall, whether as an employee or self-employed.

Trading from a vehicle, kiosk or moveable stall which is on the valuation roll does not require a street trader licence.

The application fee payable depends on the length of licence that you want.  A one year licence is £175 and a three year licence is £250.

The fee for a variation is £111 for each site applied for.  The fees change every year so check with the licensing office before you send payment.
