Our Council

We are a local government organisation serving the Perth and Kinross area. With approximately 6,000 employees and 44 elected members across 12 wards, we're dedicated to making a positive difference to the communities we serve.

We're responsible for delivering essential public services to over 150,000 residents, local businesses and organisations. From enabling our children and young people to achieve their full potential, managing waste and recycling, supporting businesses to grow and invest to boost our local economy, protecting and caring for our communities and landscapes to enforcing food safety, and planning regulations, we strive to enhance the quality of life in our communities. We also play a key role in providing housing and organising and managing local and national elections.
