Purpose

This briefing note provides Elected Members with information on the Perth and Kinross residents recognised in the King's 2025 New Year's Honours List. 

Briefing Information

Many congratulations to the following Perth and Kinross residents who have been recognised in the King's 2025 New Year's Honours List: 

Ross Haggart KFSM - Lately Chief Officer, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, was awarded a CBE for services to Fire and Rescue, and to Charitable Organisations. 

Stephen Mallen - Founder, Zero Suicide Alliance, was awarded a CBE for services to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.  

George McIvor - Chef and Chair, Master Chefs of Great Britain, was awarded an OBE for services to the Catering and Tourism Industries, and to Charitable Fundraising. 

Robert Purvis - Director, Purvis Plant Hire, was awarded an OBE for services to the community in Fife. 

William Wright - Lately Chair, Haemophilia Scotland, was awarded an OBE for services to people with bleeding disorders and to the Infected Blood Inquiry. 

Major (Rtd) Kevin Lamb - Founder, Wind Band Association, was awarded an MBE for services to Music.
