Subject: Major traffic incident at Craigend Junction, M90

Purpose

This briefing is being issued to inform you about an ongoing traffic incident.

Briefing Information

There has been an incident at the A912 Craigend Junction with the M90 this morning which is having a severe impact on traffic in the area.

Reports suggest that an HGV has fallen from the flyover on to the A912 below.

Emergency services are at the scene and the incident is ongoing.

Communications have been issued advising motorists to avoid the area.

The incident is causing severe delays to some of our school bus services. All schools are aware of the incident. A National 5 English exam is due to start at 9am today. Schools can delay the start of each paper by 30 minutes without notifying the SQA. Any delay beyond this must be approved by the SQA.
