Insuring your household items

Your landlord is responsible for insuring the building you live in but not your contents. You, as the tenant are responsible for insuring your belongings against theft, fire flood and other potential damage.

Fire safety in blocks of flats

As a landlord, Perth & Kinross Council has a legal duty to ensure that communal areas within blocks of flats are kept free from stored combustible items to reduce the risk of fire and to prevent obstruction the escape routes during emergency situations.

Window safety in your home

If left open, windows can be dangerous to unsupervised small children or vulnerable adults, especially if your home is at height.

Our Housing Support Service

We provide a Housing Support Service to customers in Greyfriars House, people that are at risk of homelessness and our housing tenants across Perth and Kinross. We have around 20 Support Officers who provide support to these groups of customers.

If you have agreed a mutual house exchange we will work with you to ensure the move happens as quickly and smoothly as possible.
