Briefing Information

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain covering much of Perth and Kinross until midnight on Wednesday, 11 February.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and have taken the following steps to reduce the risk of flooding:

  • South Inch gates are shut
  • Almondbank Floodgates are closed at fish farm as per the Tayside flood alert warning
  • Aberbothrie flood gates are closed at the River Isla
  • Coupar Angus at  the River Isla is open and "road liable to flooding" signs are on.
  • Shore Road - TS Fairmaid Slipway is currently open for scrub clearance. Flood officer is on site checking progress.

At this stage there is no need to close any other flood gates. However, the situation will continue to be monitored and we will provide further updates as required.
